Description
New construction of approx 45,000 sq ft elementary school built adjacent to the existing school. Plans for the new Spanaway Elementary incorporate natural lighting, environmentally friendly construction, the latest school technology and a beautiful community garden. The community garden will house a new 12 bay Greenhouse and will utilize a cistern tank for water storage to irrigate the garden plantings. Construction will also include complete site development including the installation of a fire suppression system (the existing school does not have this technology) and two rain gardens. Substantial completion date is August, 2011.
